Board of Trustees – Arthritis Action
Deborah Breakspear
Debbie was first introduced to Arthritis Action by a friend following a severe flare-up in 1988. She was offered very sympathetic and understanding advice and was put in touch with the charity’s experts who advised her that she could improve if she followed the charity’s self-management approach. She followed this advice and made slow but continual progress. She became a Trustee in 1991 and hopes to be able to help other arthritis sufferers who are experiencing similar problems.

As part of her dissertation she researched arthritis, and it was during this time that she became aware of Arthritis Action.
